In a troubling incident in Gyalshing district, Sikkim, a minor student has reportedly been sexually assaulted by a school teacher along with two accomplices. Authorities have taken all three suspects into custody in relation to this serious allegation.
Victim's Background
The victim, a seventh-grade student, has accused the teacher and two other individuals of sexual misconduct. The school principal filed a formal complaint with the local police on July 14, prompting an investigation.
Legal Action Taken
A police representative confirmed that the suspects have been arrested under pertinent sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, ensuring that legal proceedings will follow.
Fire Incident in Hyderabad
In an unrelated event, a fire erupted in a residential building in Hyderabad early Wednesday morning, leading to the rescue of five individuals. The blaze occurred in a G+4 structure at Aijaz Residency, Moghalpura, specifically in Flat No. 201.
Thanks to the swift actions of the Moghalpura fire crew, led by Leading Fireman SM Hasan, the trapped residents were safely evacuated. The fire was reportedly caused by a short circuit affecting the switchboard, bed, and television.
Among those rescued were Syed Abdul Kareem Sajid (55, who is physically handicapped), Atiya Begum (47), Farheen Begum (27), Syed Imam Jafar (19), and Mohammed Rizwan Uddin (38).
